mattpne 55 Posted May 16, 2019 Evening all. Anyone got any tips on how to remove some remaining bits of plastic wrap that haven't fully come off my new Black Bay? There are some unsightly scraps left over on the clasp that are too small to grab hold of to remove (I've even tried using tweezers!) Please see pic for reference https://picr.me/image/VGM6Zh
Nikosaldente 630 Posted May 16, 2019 Acetone may damage the watch... The best is Pure Gasoline or Isopropyl Alcohol

GenTLe 1,485 Posted May 16, 2019 Toothpick. It will not damage anything and it is ok to limit the plastic bits.
BadApple 13,079 Posted May 16, 2019 Alcohol rub or even aftershave . Also WD40
FudgyDocker 3,425 Posted May 16, 2019 I saw a post on here recommending soaking a new SS strap in WD40 for a couple of hours anyway, to get rid of the factory crud. Two birds with one stone, and all that.....
Rx4Time 1,472 Posted May 16, 2019 Just don't soak the watch head in baby oil or WD 40.
mattpne 55 Posted May 16, 2019 Thanks for all the inputs. I’ll remove the bracelet and give it a soak in WD40 and see if that works. The bracelet is is a bit of a hair puller anyway so may change it to a leather strap anyway. Cheers
