ebzen02 341 Posted May 15, 2011 Here is the start of a transformation.. Phase one.. Reshape crown and soften contours(needs more). Add a bit of discoloration to the pushers.. Gen watch I used to mimic the crown.. I guess i am just going for close enough...lol Dial.. Added some water stains to the dial..With the help of some diluted acrylic paints. Toned down the white so it doesn't look that new. I kinda like the big spot on sound the 2 mark were the indicator fell off..might jut leave it the way it is not glue it back on.. More to come.. Hopefully I don't get a banana instead.. Should see an update in a few weeks it gets back from the spa! I get my watches fully serviced for $30 here in El Salvador [$70 for chronographs], the one who does this for me has been working in the watch repair business for 30+ years. That's the norm here, your watch is very likely to be in good hands. :yoda:

ww12345 0 Posted August 6, 2011 That is an awesome dial. What paint did you use, if you don't mind me asking. Also good to see another dial without one of the markers. Two of mine fell off, but mine looks too new to seem vintage!
