A gen Seawolf, finally...

Recommended Posts

Del

Some of you will know that for many years on RWG I was "the Breitling guy" and, in particular, owned a sought-after Seawolf V1 yellow dial (relumed), which was a special watch (affectionately known as "The Yellow One") but I eventually decided to sell it on for reasons that currently escape me! Here's the sales thread I managed to dig up, in case you're interested....

Anyway, back to present day!  The yellow Seawolf has always been a favourite of mine and, even although it's a humungous watch, I picked one up today at a local AD. My intention was to buy it in Heathrow T5 when I go on hols in a few weeks but, to my shock and delight, the local AD matched the airport price! :woo:   Maybe being the first of the month was a good thing - a decent start to their monthly sales figures I guess!

I'm really chuffed to bits with this one.  It really is an iconic Breitling model and is a head-turner thanks to the yellow dial and the overall size of the watch!

I snapped a few photos of the box set and watch for your viewing pleasure. ;)

Very nice mate, didn't realise how thick the case is on these!

Makes the steelfish almost look like a dress watch... Suppose they gotta get that extra 1km depth rating from somewhere

Very nice Del!

I had the pleasure of working on a couple of gen Breitlings - their insides are just as beautifully finished. Wear it well.

Dear Lord, first a Rolie and now this! You must be a real (sick) watch lover. I love this Breitling, I wish GF would make a rep of this...

This beauty suits you really well! Wear it in good health, sir!

Thank you. That’s good to know, although I don’t fancy trying to seal this one back up to 3000m though!
