MikeMcNair 0 Posted May 17, 2011 Thanks guys. The pix make the dots look uneven, but they are proper. Also, dot at 3,6,9, and triangle at 12 are larger then the rest, but my iPhone does not show this well. Gonna repost this in the "daily Lume thread".... Member X 91 Posted May 17, 2011 Is the chrono sweep hand going to be blue?
MikeMcNair 0 Posted May 17, 2011 Is the chrono sweep hand going to be blue? Actually, it's silver with the red tip. I lumed the dot on it but it didn't look good, something was off, so I put green (not high end or super bright) back in. It's got "rep quality" lume IMO on the chrono sweep. I think it looks good tho. Look at the dark shots, you can see the green on the chrono hand.
Member X 91 Posted May 17, 2011 I agree, I think the slight colour difference makes it look better I just wanted to make sure you weren't being silly and forgetting to do it - you know, having a 'senior moment'... LoL

Balad1 0 Posted May 18, 2011 You know I love you Brother but the green lumed sweep hand doesn't work for me. Either the same blue or how about red, is there such a color?
MikeMcNair 0 Posted May 18, 2011 You know I love you Brother but the green lumed sweep hand doesn't work for me. Either the same blue or how about red, is there such a color? I could do it red, red lume is rather weak tho, but like X said, I think it belongs green. In person it looks the business! As for the dude with the calibre 36, pm me please, I am not yet able to "advertise" on here.
MikeMcNair 0 Posted May 18, 2011 Please also keep in mind, all pix are taken with my crappy iPhone, and no lighting trix or editing, no black lights or long exposures, just simple cell phone pix.
kolchak 17 Posted May 18, 2011 Very nice job - especially considering your just started luming ( i think). Blue lume on white dial is very cool - How long does glow last after a decent charge?
MikeMcNair 0 Posted May 18, 2011 Very nice job - especially considering your just started luming ( i think). Blue lume on white dial is very cool - How long does glow last after a decent charge? 10 min charge lasts ALLL through the night. it dims a little then stays at like "medium" glow all night. Ska 11 Posted May 18, 2011 Personally I like the blue/green combo. What lume are you using there mike? And what method are you using to apply it?? And btw. - Kenny, FineDD and I don't use "lighting tricks" The iPhone is a perfectly good camera for taking lume shots, even in light conditions. it's actually very accurate as it's ambient light sensor allows it to take shots that look almost exactly how the subject looks in real life. Like these for example. All taken on my trusty iPhone 3Gs. (Not even an iPhone 4)
MikeMcNair 0 Posted May 18, 2011 Personally I like the blue/green combo. What lume are you using there mike? And what method are you using to apply it?? GLOW4U's premix, its perfect for fast application, and lasts long as hell!!!!!! plus, a TON of it is cheap!! my application spans from oilers, needles, pins, brushes, spraying it, etc. basically, whatever the job calls for. MikeMcNair 0 Posted May 19, 2011 Chris, I wasn't knocking yer photos, but you have a delayed exposure, which yer iPhone and mine for that matter can't do (I'm sure there's an app for it but you get me)
MikeMcNair 0 Posted May 19, 2011 Nice work guys! Thanks, I learned it all from ken and chris tho!!!
MikeMcNair 0 Posted May 19, 2011 I'm upset, the pearl did not dry as it should have.... Here are the pix..... I am upset!
KeNnY 29 Posted May 19, 2011 If You use GS Hypo Cement for pearl, it is bad... I have learned for my self also.. the Hypo has got small bubble in it, that will dry and the pearl will not be nice... Best is to have Wigor Jewelers Epoxy, that is awesome for pearls ! I Have made the newest pearls with it and it is easy really, and the pearl looks awesome and dry to the bone !
