(Wish me luck) Over much much deliberation I decided to go with a GMF 36mm DateJust 126231 TT bracelet. I know I probably should've gone with SS but ive always had a thing for two tone Jubilee bracelets. Which brings me to a question, how long typically does the gold tend to last on a gold reps? and any tips on the upkeep or keeping it clean without taking off the gold? Wrapped tends to be a little more hardwearing, but in the watches I've had that have been gold plated or wrapped, they've never given any problems. I did get my wife a 41mm BP DateJust two-tone on the new Jubilee bracelet, and after only wearing twice I had noticed that the links nearest the watch head had a little silver line where the gold had worn off as this part of the bracelet curves from the watch head and rubs against the other link while it flexes. This same thing has happened to mine as it goes, luckily on the 36 it's not really noticeable with the naked eye, but you can see it clearly with a Loupe. Damn that gold. My tracking was a bit odd actually, on the itinerary it said it stayed in China for over a week then said it arrived in the UK then it didn't do anything for day's again, then suddenly out of nowhere it was delivered before tracking even said it had changed cities. I just checked it now and it's all updated so I imagine tracking isn't that accurate sometimes. I'm no expert though i'm afraid, as I say it was my first Rep. Good luck, fingers crossed for you!
