Watches for small boys

I'm looking for a watch for my 5 yr old son who just leaned to tell time. A 40 mm watch looks way too big on his arm so I'm considering ladies watches like an Omega Seamaster (36 mm) or a Tag Heuer ladies Aquaracer (32 mm). The Roles Yachtmaster ladies screams Rep on a child in my opinion.

Does any of you have other suggestions?

Rolex Explorer, 36mm. Perhaps a DateJust boys size?

Realistically, a 34mm Seiko automatic.

Make sure that whatever you get is in yellow gold, and has diamonds in the dial indices.

You complete and utter Cockwomble!

I agree with the rest of the lot - G-Shock (Baby or Mini) or a Swatch. But if you're intent on haute horology, go with something classic like a Mini Tudor Submariner, reference 73190: https://www.chrono24.com/tudor/submariner-73190-watch-with-stainless-steel-bracelet-and-stainless-steel-bezel--id12088183.htm

Once he grows out of it I'm sure the resale value will be there. It could be a great down payment on buying the next size up!

Essentially that.

If you want to dress your kid up like a traveller on speed then knock yourself out. Might as well go the full 9 yards and suit and boot him in some knock off Armani and a big ol’ plated gold chain and stick some knock off sovereign rings on the kids fingers. Ask him want he wants and don’t report back because unless it’s some shitty bit of techie plastic that talks and beeps and plays games then I for one won’t believe a feckin word of it.

On the other hand and even if you are utterly tasteless I do not doubt for a moment the love you have for your kids. So in the end do whatever the hell you like and stick with your traveller traditions.

this thread is so incredibly odd it verges on the insane.  the title "watches for small boys" has a pedaphilic ring to it. putting on my work hat here as a behavior analyst i am racking what's left of my brain wondering why op would  consider this idea, post this thread and give it a pediaphilic porn title. i can't, so i implore op and the supporters of buying rep watches for small boys to watch the following:

Kids are not going to know the difference between a tag or rollie but other parents seeing your kid sporting a YM is either gonna know it a fake or think your'e crazy for strapping a $10k watch to a 5 year olds wrist. Either way, it's going to come off as pretentious

Exactly.

Thank you. Very neat and clean watch. I'm probably looking for a bit more sporty watch though

What about a Seiko skx 009 or 007 then. Sporting, hard wearing and is a decent watch with a bit of history (If you don't hold the Seiko grudge) Not crazy money.

They are a bit big but the SKX013 with a NATO strap is an option

Thoughts on the Baby G that Hanski and I suggested? Comes in tons of colors, sporty and damn near indestructible.

I was given a nice Swiss watch for my 6th birthday because I asked for a watch, I was a kid who was pulling down his toys by Christmas afternoon and had them reassembled and working again by Boxing Day, and my dad loved well built watches.

It was extremely plain looking to others, you had to really examine it like I did to know it was a good watch. It wasn’t a known luxury brand. It was specifically built for a child in its size.

If you can get something like that and your kid takes more care than most adults then go for it. Otherwise buy a Swatch.

My fave ‘ad’. My wife gets sick of me breaking out in this song. I do it at least once a week.

Well you don’t seem keen to take others advice (which begs the question, why ask for it?!) but if you are gonna spend rep prices on a watch for a child, then why not get yourself on eBay and look out for an original gen Tag F1. They come in nice bright colours, durable as hell and a smaller size.......all for the price of a rep!

I’ll start you off https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F143359293410
