GenTLe 1,485 Posted August 23, 2019 Frankly a luxury watch on anyone less than 20 yo seems so pretentious (you know those damn "rich kids right?) that to me is just plain stupid

Genius 281 Posted August 23, 2019 5 hours ago, TagMeInIt said: Well you don’t seem keen to take others advice (which begs the question, why ask for it?!) but if you are gonna spend rep prices on a watch for a child, then why not get yourself on eBay and look out for an original gen Tag F1. They come in nice bright colours, durable as hell and a smaller size.......all for the price of a rep! I’ll start you off https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F143359293410 That's actually not a bad idea! Although I still think a 5 year old is gonna find a way to break a sapphire crystal so something with a plexi would be better

Glaude 1,615 Posted August 24, 2019 Get him a damn fun watch for a 5 year old if your end goal is to interest him in nice watches, he'll be far more excited about his watch, how it works etc... rather than a rep of a luxury item that will just be another that he'll throw away because he's grown bored with it, it's a 5 year old !! Swatch makes some very very nice watches, with fun alarms and other functions, if you want to feel more comfortable, remember that Swatch owns Rolex... FoxWilde 155 Posted August 24, 2019 5 years old definitely sounds a bit too young IMHO. I got into watches, like many, at a young age. Just not THAT young
The_Proctometrist 16 Posted August 24, 2019 this thread should be banished to the gulag on principle. the very idea needs to burned from the neurons of the brain using modern electroshock techniques. it doesn't hurt and is a perfectly ethical treatment for such asinine pretentiousness... NO WAY!!!
