FOX’S ANTIQUE STORE PICKUP!

Recommended Posts

FoxWilde

I was at in Arezzo this morning and ran across a shop selling antique, intrigued, I went in looking for their jewelry case. I spent a good while talking to the owner and ended up very happy leaving with these two little gems.

If you guys happen to know anything about them, I’d love to hear. The movement serial of the Omega is 4,000,000.

enjoy the pics!

Good deals.

€140 for the Omega

$1000 for the Breitling

for me, these are good prices I’d like to spend on these types of watches. I have no idea what the market prices are, but I love the black dial, and this will be my second omega pocket watch. Definitely keepers in my collection! And nice souvenirs from Italy (since I have to bring them back to Texas)

Wonderful pick ups @FoxWilde I've been trawling though markets and auctions in the south of France, but not had any luck on watches, but  paintings, lighters and silk scarves have been tres bon.

@cvp3 @Mr_B thanks you guys. Quite proud of myself today

@NCRich thanks mate.

Decided to spend some time out of the house. I’ll be on this side of the pond until December.

@TDFBluWaffle could be so! I told the man I was skeptical of its authenticity so I whittled the price down. It looks like mine is missing some jewels?? I have no idea.

Fuck @FoxWilde I messed up and posted twice and don't know how to delete. Still, maybe we need to share some market bargain tips.

@brang1 right place right time indeed!

@hanski both watches will need a cleaning and servicing. Once the winter rolls by I’ll be working on that for sure. I think I might know a guy who can help *wink* :)

they both run well. Each has a bit over a days power reserve. All I can ask from some 75+ year old timepieces.

Wink?! Wait, does this mean it’s me? Or are you winking cause you found someone else?! Or are you winking for another reason altogether. Oh no! These forums make it so hard to read the subtext!

Just kidding! Look forward to working on these! Enjoy Europe and find some more good deals!

Popped the Breitling open. Anyone got any idea what movement this is? Maybe a Venus?

i must admit I’m not very rehearsed in Breitling.
