Can anyone ID this factory movement? Omega Seamaster 300 spectre

Recommended Posts

Good morning

I have a Omega seamaster 300 spectre I got from a friend, unfortunately he can't find any information as to who he got it from and doesn't know what factory it is, I'm hoping it's a Mary as the movement does look identical but I'm happy to be told otherwise

Thank you

VSF 8400 clone movement I think.

They're usually based on A2824 movements, but don't quote me on that.

By the way, WTF is a Mary? No factory I've ever heard of!

I’m pretty sure it’s the VSF clone movement which although uses a few parts from a 2824, it isn’t a 2824 with decoration plates like many reps.

sure about that mate? it sort of looks like an A2824 mod to 8800 but you have more knowledge...

I’m not sure, I just think so as it’s so similar to my VSF 8500 Aqua Terra movement. I don’t have the Spectre yet (but maybe next purchase).

It looks different to the MKF one which I think is decorated 2824. And pretty sure it’s not the 2813 ones available.

VSF clone for sure, that's the only movement with a correct balance wheel position.

Set the time if you have any doubts - VSF is the only rep of 8400 which features a jumping hour hand.

I also think it's a VSF one because the top plate is not fake (the jewels have the gears shafts in them). The others have fake plates with empty jewels

This definitely has the jumping hour feature

I don’t think its the vsf clone movement because the balance wheel is not black:Thinking:

VS had two batch movement.  one batch is dark grey balance wheel.   the other is not.  this should be from VSF.
