Nisv 0 Posted May 22, 2011 Does it have to come with diamond markers, now that I'm really close to order the damn thing? How hard would it be for me to say yank out the movement, remove the diamonds ( ) and then substitute them with for example black pearls, with or without lume? Or maybe I just would be better off leaving that to those who actually knows how to perform such a task? http://www.yourtrustytime.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=7141

Nisv 0 Posted May 22, 2011 Thanks Actually, I have no idea of Gen or not, I only know my eyes are growing more and more accustomed to it

Tristan 0 Posted May 22, 2011 For $128 its no big deal. I have never been a big VC fan but if you like skeleton watches I have seen worse.
Nisv 0 Posted May 22, 2011 No, I have never ordered anything from them before. But they are on the trusted dealers list here, although they don't have their own subforum here. http://www.replica-watches-guide.com/forum...p?showtopic=60# But I can just as well order that watch from let's say Mary (Watchinternational), that's not too important actually. What's interesting is though my original question regarding the markers, if it's a case of DIY or not. Thanks.
Luthier 1 Posted May 22, 2011 Remove "diamonds", put lume dots instead, replace these ugly hands on something better, with lume strips too, Rolex Day/Date hands will looks much better on this watch, I think.
Nisv 0 Posted May 22, 2011 Hi Luth Vacheron Constantin, either a "fantasy" model or not..... :P Thanks for the input, it's always interesting to get good advice from someone who knows beauty Duly noted.
myaz 3 Posted May 22, 2011 I've got a Kenneth Cole skeleton (I know, pre RWG purchase). Just like your intended, beautiful to look at but totally worthless to actually tell the time in low light. Some type of lume would definitely be worth considering if that matters. Then, you'd have to change the hands as well. At that price break, the diamonds are most certainly glued on. Should be easy to pop off but considering what the watch costs, and unless you enjoy doing it yourself, likely not worth paying someone to find suitable markers, lume them, add them to the dial and source different hands. Just my 2 1/2 cents
