What looks better, bracelet or nato??

Recommended Posts

lap9387

I’ve ordered a load of nato straps because I couldn’t decide...

at the minute, I found this in the bottom of my watch drawer so tried it on...

im not convinced it looks as nice as the bracelet...

would like some thoughts?

Nato looks casually cool - like, “hi, I’ve got a really expensive watch but you won’t notice it cause it’s just chillin’ on a piece of nylon, no big deal.”

I thought that, but I think the all black is quite boring...

ive ordered a load of funky colours...

the bracelet definitely draws the attention

I think it deffo looks best on the bracelet (that’s why it comes on  a bracelet), but every now and then a switch up is great for a few weeks - the nato also  looks great.

So mundane does it matter

of the two options I side on the nato, worth trying out some rubber b’s too.

I’d have to agree with bracelet or brown leather for a black rolex.

Look at JohnG's offerings.

Lots of vintage leather straps that would be perfect for your watch.

Another option is a Rubber B strap with custom end links as a fusion of a steel bracelet and black nato

The fatter lugs and ceramic/general shininess of the modern Submariner/SD models just look miles better with a bracelet IMO, despite my many and varied attempts to find an alternative.  A mate of mine wears a battered gen 1675 on an equally battered red, blue and yellow NATO and it looks the absolute bollocks, wears it with smart or casual attire and everything in between.

The only alternative I'd go for on a modern sports Rolex would be a RubberB or Everest jobby.

@Howitzer mate my 1675 is my ideal one-watch collection. Whether a Pepsi or Coke, NATO or Jubilee, it’s like owning 20 watches in 1!

I'd probably agree with you there mate! Although the thought of having only one watch makes me feel most unusual....
