RussP 22,190 Posted November 24, 2019 Saw this ad on EBay whilst the listing was current. Got home and some sucker paid the Buy It Now price. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/patek-philippe-nautilus-5711-Stainless-Steel-/383279238518?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=GG0jrA9tj9VgRFw4wPbHwc41LNs%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc

Foxindebox 462 Posted November 24, 2019 TBF even the most basic research would indicate that this is a shitter... Anyone stupid enough to buy that, on eBay, for that price, without researching the piece they are looking to buy... well they deserve what they get. This is in no way saying that the weapons-grade ubercunt misrepresenting/scamming/selling it is alright though.
RussP 22,190 Posted November 24, 2019 Might be interesting if the buyer decides that he got himself a bargain and tries to sell it for even more than what he paid for it..........

GingerApple 7,284 Posted January 24, 2020 I'm with Black; there's a double scam of sorts at play here - money laundering perhaps? The seller and buy in cahoots? Or a VAT fraud? I'm not clever enough to know what, but surely it's something very different to a bloke paying £5k for an obvious shitter of a fake.
Beef88 10 Posted January 24, 2020 Money laundering? Trying to figure out how? It’s an interesting one like. Something very fishy about it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah, probably not on reflection (like I said, in not smart enough to work it out), but something dodgy. Perhaps they fund the purchase somehow using ropey money, they buy the overpriced dodgy watch, claim the refund because it's a fake and the money somehow comes back via a different method and clean? I don't know. I is stupid innit.
