As in, he bought a vintage Rolex Pepsi GMT and a brand new Deep Sea SeaDweller this year and is waiting on a Daytona. Too much money. He asked about the best watches for Investment and I told him Rolex. He’s not a watch nut like us, though he does wear them, he just looking at other ways to make money. Anyway, he loaned me his Chronomat cos he knows I give a shit. Funny thing is, I saw so many wristies of the rep Breitlings and thought they were just not my style, but having this beast on my wrist changes that opinion and I can see why the reps are so popular. Here’s a pic of it on the bracelet, I’ve posted it a few times in the last week.

RussP 22,403 Posted December 16, 2019 Perhaps the modern ones................but vintage Rollies are some of the loveliest looking pieces that have adorned my wrist:

Rolex definitely make amazing time pieces, they are just not to my liking.

I enjoy Panerai’s more simple designs, such as the 111 and like many Breitling, apart from say the Navitimer. As far as RM and Who-Blow, I couldn’t agree more. I’m off to bed, night mate

But the price of Rolex has been pushed to ridiculously crazy heights mainly by spoilt rich kids who have no idea of the substance of the watch, just a label
