1680 white sub build

Recommended Posts

Ramone50000

This has been a long ongoing process with lots of trial and errors - bought some parts by mistake or ended up not liking them. I was originally going for a viet dial red sub build but chanced upon a white sub dial some time ago. Anyway, these 2 will be in the build for sure (unless something better comes along - again..)

It’s got potential - plus I have an almost bottomless boredom threshold. I’m in.

It does have potential! Hence why I commented as I'm in too (I was only kidding above OP)!

Haha yes I sure hope this has some potential. Definitely my most ambitious build so far

The plan is to have everything housed in a viet case set.

Also looking for a nice (and hopefully rather affordable) gen 93150 bracelet set.

It really is!!! This time next year I'm hoping for a picture of the movement inside the case! Or at least close to it in the same photo.

Compared to the speed that my projects go, if I keep tuning into this one every time Ramone posts an update I'm gonna have a stroke.

All done. Had to order a missing part for the movement, which of course took much longer to arrive due to the holidays.

Well that escalated quickly... :D

Lovely looking result, if lacking somewhat in plot development.

Apologies - I'm known to cause kids to start wandering off as soon as I utter the words once upon a time.

Love the patina on that mate.

Can you share some details on the build? @Dan71

Gen versions probably exist but not without an exorbitant price tag.

Nicely done.

Low beat movements are so mesmerizing to watch, pardon the pun.

This is absolutely beautiful! Is this gen dial and insert if not what's the origin of the insert especially, I'm on the market of a good aftermarket insert
