Glashutte 60's Light Blue Dial

Recommended Posts

tribefan

This beauty arrived from far away lands this week and I am just smitten with it.

This watch is all about the dial, and it is a stunner. In natural light, it's clearly a bright aquamarine, although against a white background it turns more teal:

39MM case, 11.5MM thickness. Signed crown, signed caseback, signed buckle, modified bridges and engraving, Miyota 28,800 movement I believe:

Lots of pics:

From Mary, and it wasn't easy.  She had a hard time finding a pristine dial. I got the impression that this color was tough for them to reproduce without flaws. In the end though this was the color I really wanted and she came through big time.

Thank you sir! And yes, I've been doing quite a bit of reading in that regard. In fact it was ALS history that led me to Glashutte Original. I think it was a @Intresting thread where I first saw this one and had to have it, so hat tip there.

Lovely dial colour and movement seen through the caseback

Pity I very rarely have opportunity to wear something so dressy
