Clearing out dear old Nanny's house (God rest her soul), I discovered these:

Eh? Some Googling required I think.

So if they only came with a watch purchase, does that mean there’s two watches in your nan’s house? Keep looking man!

I've a couple of them too, quite common. They are in silver and cost around 15€ each (see eBay)

Ah yes the spoon collecting was very popular back in the day, not so much these days I suspect.

I suspect your gran was quite the thrill seeker as Interlaken is a big hang gliding, paragliding and wing suiting spot! You can sit at the train station and watch them all come in for a landing.

Sounds great, but doesn't that mean that all the seats at the station are constantly taken by bloody wing suit watchers?

Except when it's cloudy. Or if the seat's under an awning, which blocks the view of the sky. Or faces away from the mountains. Actually, the more I think about it, I'm realising it's less of an issue than I initially assumed.

Nice spoons.

Exactly.

Sorry to deviate so hugely from spoons, but whenever wingsuits are mentioned, I think of this...  (note - there's nothing gory about it and the guy survived)
