Thommo82 1,397 Posted January 15, 2020 So this one has been on my radar for a little while now and when I was offered a 26% discount from a local AD it was just too good to pass up. Retails at $1600AUD but I only paid $1180AUD. Not bad if you ask me. This is not a review, just a bit of show for those interested in watches, oh, that’s ALL of you. Beautiful clean dial, with what I can see as a bit of influence from a Rolex explorer. 41mm case. 22mm lugs, no taper on bracelet. 30bar water resistance. I’m a big fan of the crown guards as they are rather unique to Longines, and the case back is just stunning. This is my first from Longines and I’m extremely happy. Don’t have a bad thing to say about it actually. Anyway, all you guys really want is the pics right?

This Longines, the Tissot, a Hamilton Khaki and a Certina chrono round out my Swiss watches. Then there is a bunch of other non-Swiss watches obviously. The Breitling was on loan from a friend. Oh yeah.. that green hands Chrono for 179ish. Now they are closer to 379. The certinas and eternas are on the radar... unfortunately tax penalties are north of 12k... So if I start drawing cardboard cutouts, sundials will be in the "in" thing...lolSent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk

NCRich 13,746 Posted January 15, 2020 Very nice watch! Clean looking and it has big numbers since you are getting on in years you can see them (probably will have to add a cyclops) Nice pickup.

MAJ75 922 Posted January 15, 2020 Wonderful Longines, I can also see the similarities with the Explorer, but this is more rugged & robust looking.... Enjoy it!

In the end it came down to the Conquest I purchased and this Hydroconquest: I really like this grey model and newer dial style for the Hydroconquest, (and I’ll more than likely purchase it one day) but I’ve too many divers at the moment, and wanted something a little dressier 10 minutes ago, MAJ75 said: Wonderful Longines, I can also see the similarities with the Explorer, but this is more rugged & robust looking.... GingerApple 7,273 Posted January 15, 2020 Beaut for a beaut! It's so nice that I'm going to use one of my limited daily 'reactions' on a thumbs up (instead of saving then all to be used as thumbs downs on our forum plonkers). I love the crown guards and might go for a rep, but are they in any way uncomfortable being so large?
