NOOB QUESTION NATO STRAP HELP

Preparing for a roast....

 

what am I doing wrong with this Nato strap it doesn’t seem to sit right on my wrist 

 

taken some pics with it on and one with everything apart

I’ve never used that style of buckle but this is how I do mine.
 

watch head to the top 

feed the strap through the buckle and both the metal keepers

I personally bend the excess back towards the strap

Tuck the excess back into the keeper

You can tuck it the other way but I don’t like the excess showing

It's hard to tell really but it looks as if the buckle is too close to the watch head. the head should slide until centered. Having larger wrists, natos that have that strap that goes under the watch head always makes the buckle ride to one side, so I cut that 3rd strap off and take a soldering iron to the cut end so it doesnt fray...anyway, I could be way off base with what you issue is.

Bought this watch and some straps off of another member on here, I had a look at YouTube and followed a Tudor style nato review , managed to get it what a pain though
