Quick update on the eta 2846... just fitted a Balance Stop Lever and now it hacks...

qMbI2.jpg

Awaiting a change lever as I've removed the date and day wheels and want to change the stem to 2 clicks in and out (Hacking).

All done... not as hard as I thought.. only one mistake which I knew not to do was the Crown Wheel Screw is reverse threaded and I knacked it anyway... so ordered replacement Barrel Bridge and Crown Wheel Screw.. £12,

Very Happy now have ETA 2846 Hacking and 2 Click stem... more to follow.

Had loads of problems.... Trying to test fit the ETA 2846 movement into a ETA 2824 case not realising the distance from the Dial to the centre of the Stem is 1.8mm and 2.4mm respectively... everytime I forces the stem in the Keyless works jumped out and I had to reassemble it about 5 five... practice makes ferpect...

Solution was to remove the Dial Spacer Ring since I removed the Day and Date Dials anyway and it fits...  very tight then I had to make movement clamps (4.5mm) from thin brass, drill and fit them to hold the movement in the correct position ... I know you can buy these but I wanted to test fit into a Helenrou case I got and I couldn't wait...

Not finished but looking good... I don't like the Bezel ring on the Helenarou case and might sell this case if I can make another one and get it engraved or figure out how to fix this Bezel... that's it until more parts arrive... enjoy.

Starting work on the bezel ring which needs to be thicker by .5mm so need to file the bottom flat glue 1.2mm thick piece of steel to it and then file it back to the correct height... a lot of work for very small result but will be happier when it's done.

The Bezel has been fitted to a plastic fitting from a crystal press and put on a drill so it can be sanded down carefully to the correct diameter and angle...
