Gr4y 9 Posted February 28, 2020 Just picked up this beauty, was on the list for a little while and got the call yesterday! Must say it looks even better in real life than I expected.

It's nice. Haven't had any decent light to really see the blue dial properly. Sellita SW200-1 running it, not ETA 2824. Bracelet is comfy, and each link 7-8 mm adjustment so easy to make comfy. However, if your wrist is over 22.5cm, forget it. Very slim at 10mm, rising to 10.8 at the slight dome of the crystal. Can't really take any more decent pics until I get some sunshine, but I'll see what I can do!

The overall specs and sizing seem very attractive to me, think I’ll pull the trigger before too long

I think the GL224 is a random mix of 2824-2 & SW200-1. Pot luck what you get. Excuse the rowdy random hairs and lint

Pot luck what you get. From what i read at DROP and WUS... Basically, Old Stock = ETA, New batches = Sellita. Some will argue that ETA > Sellita... But I'd say they are equal and comparable... Just that the ETA having a higher list price than a Sellita

And then throw the STP1-11 (also 26J) into the mix... ... I've seen those as well, but not as hardcore as the ETA fanbois... Man, they are even predicting price premium on ETA based Glycines on every single drop lol... Pretty funny... but at the rate Invicta is producing these and their slashing pricing model... unlikely for that scenario to happen... On the STP, they do have the marketing firepower of the Fossil Group... Wondering if some of those A2824 components are finished and refined in Switzerland to get stamped as Swiss Made by STP... but that's for another conspiracy theory thread LOL
NFleischer 4,355 Posted February 29, 2020 I also have a Combat Sub all gold. Great watches for $300-400. Specs usually say ETA 2824, anyway where can you get Gen Swiss movements at these prices? Not gonna win any Horology awards but nice looking watches IMO.
NFleischer 4,355 Posted February 29, 2020 Son of a Gun! Is that brand new? Very nice but I thought you were getting a new Panerai.
