The Few Seiko Wristies I've Acquired So Far.

My Seiko "TV" is my favorite of these because I always remember my father wearing one in the 1970's.  I searched and finally found this one, which I put onto a genuine horned back crocodile strap that color matched the dial.  A sort of retro modernized thing.

Seiko "TV"

Very unusual. Wonder what the "5" is for in the 6 o'clock marker? That 70's style  I remember it well.

The 5 stands for the Five main Features of Seiko 5 watches:

  1. Automatic
  2. Day display
  3. Date display
  4. Water-resistant
  5. Shockproof

It is unusually fantastic (IMHO), and aside from the sentimental memories of my Dad, I just love the retro look all on its own.  And I searched for quite a while to find one in this good of a condition.  Considering the Seiko serial number decoder says it was made in March 1972, I'm quite happy.

In fact, I love the retro look of the '70's Seiko TV so much, I saw this Rado Manhattan and stopped in my tracks.  I just had to stop and look at and admire it... and then buy it!

Very cool, but I like it so much for its uniqueness now I want to find one for my Seiko collection!  Thanks for the share.

@Sifu Whitey Then I saw this on Roman Sharfs YouTube channel. A Seiko that you could actually watch TV on  ...
