Theduke.williams 1,036 Posted February 15, 2020 Long story short, I sent my Brother a Hamilton Khaki watch for christmas, and it was believed lost. I promptly ordered a replacement, and you've guessed it, he now has two 44mm Hamilton Khaki Field Officer watches. No problem says I, I'll have one back, that way we can have matching watches, but they're not quite identical. The differences are subtle, but also quite striking. What one do you prefer, and why? zulu44gmt 1,046 Posted February 15, 2020 The one on the left. Bold 12 and 6. The one on the right reminds of my 115$ seiko...so I may have to now try a pilot strap on it. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
FunnyStarSystem 7,538 Posted February 15, 2020 I vote left too. I like the inner ring, the red tipped second hand and the rivets.
Jasonbaylee 192 Posted February 15, 2020 I like the simple layout on the right of your pic. At least the Nos indexes ain’t shouting out loud.
BravoDelta 22,444 Posted February 15, 2020 ✔ One on the right for me. I like the smaller numbers, arrow head second hand and larger more legible text. Looks better to me

Thommo82 1,397 Posted February 15, 2020 The model on the right for me. Less busy dial, better balanced. Swap the straps though
GingerApple 7,285 Posted February 15, 2020 Right watch, left strap. The left watch is a bit too busy and squished-in to my eyes. I do like the red tipped seconds hand on the left watch too.
Dafydd57 0 Posted February 15, 2020 Having both watches in my possession, each has it's own qualities, so I'm hard pressed to pick one. Maybe I'll keep both which will resolve the dilemma, Just joking. Will let you know soon brother....

Theduke.williams 1,036 Posted February 16, 2020 When comparing watches you need to ignore the straps - they're easily swapped out for something else (I have friends who won't wear their watches unless they're fitted with a nato strap - anyone who goes swimming, snorkelling or even diving will be able to tell you why!) So far the votes are ;- 3 for the left 5 for the right The one on the left came from no other than Robroy - an absolute bargain, from a real gentleman on this site. The one on the right came from Citywatches.ca, and was intended as replacement wnen the first watch was believed lost. Either way, my Brother in Canada has ownership of both watches, and as both were intended as gifts, it is he who has the final say on which watch he retains. I now have the perfect excuse to book a flight later this year, and go out to visit him, and reclaim my Hamilton Khaki (whichever one it may be). Choose wisely Brother

(personally I prefer bracelets, but that's me!)
KarmaToBurn 1,419 Posted February 16, 2020 I prefer the one on the right. I like the larger hands on it and prefer the dial without the outline around the 24-hour track.
