New plastic Breitlings ? (Breitlight)

What's your thoughts on these? I like the idea of a big watch being lighter (as with the ROO carbon) but I can't help but think the price is silly at ~$500 for the rep (£6000 for the gen ) for polycarbonate (plastic)

I see no problem here-idiots are already buying plastic, pop-on CB gen PAMs for years....

I've got a gen Luminox in these materials, I love it and it was only $250 US brand new!

Reps have priced themselves out of reason in many cases. (Pun intended)

I have no problem with the materials and a lighter watch is great but I'd like to see the rep price lower. I actually was considering getting one but I'm not going to at $528 + shipping. I'd rather spend that on a Daytona w/clone mvt. Or spend $328 on an Avenger 2 DLC.

I quite like the look of that but agree with you completely about the prices

Unfortunately I think $500 is the new bench mark for pricing :(

In the end what’s the difference between mass produced plastic cases and mass produced stainless parts? Some incremental raw material cost and different machines.

I'd pay $50 for a plastic G Shock. But a $500+ for a plastic Breitling rep...ah, no.
