Be interested on your thoughts whose doing the best for sale, the case always seems from other models with my previous purchases and not near true explorer case and sizes. Any thoughts? Intresting 21,683 Posted March 24, 2020 Found a used 2824 eBay Australia listed by a local watchmaker. This led to parts from Raffles and a chat with my jeweller mate (I am absolutely useless with tools). I just mucked around with the dial to "age" and destroyed it, leading to the buying of a second dial from Raffles. Didnt want a plastic crystal so went for a newer model crystal instead. This is the final result.... I think put too much "aging dust" on the hands, so the lume is stuffed....

What did you use to actually fill in the numbers and markers? Sharpie is way too thick. Even a toothpick seems too large.

I used a very fine trimmed paint brush, metal coat enamel paint and a dust blower to disperse the paint, then a towel to remove access.
