sconehead 5 Posted June 2, 2011 Well, as promised to Kenny here are a few pics of a $70 watch that he brought to my notice on ebay. It has an aftermarket dial with sod all lume which will need replacing and is in need of a service. If someone knows somewhere reputable to pick up a gen Seiko dial for this I'd be grateful...overall I'm quite happy with the watch though... trailboss99 994 Posted June 2, 2011 Why replace the dial? Just get it relumed mate. You won't get gen dials for them anyway, not for less than the watch is worth and it will still need a re-lume. That's why they all use aftermarket ones.
KeNnY 29 Posted June 2, 2011 wasn't the movement serviced ? You mean it doesn't keep good time ?
ThinkBachs 1 Posted June 2, 2011 Watchuseek has a great Seiko section that would be a great place to start with this question. Those guys are very familiar with swapping dials, bezel inserts and such.

You mean it doesn't keep good time ? ...it's loosing about 35 secs a day...no biggy, if I can service a 2836 I'm sure this'll be a piece of cake...
