daytona4me 19 Posted July 7, 2009 Funny you bring up Juniper, I run a Juniper Appliance and am working on some Juniper certs. One of my good friends is one of the bright minds on Juniper appliances and has co-authored several books on Juniper. I'll have to ask him about this but my little knowledge and my daily security battles at work told me this had nothing to do with a DDOS, but I've been wrong before,, but dont think so.. I think we're on the same page here. Might both be wrong, but what the hell - it's fun to speculate. TBH, though what really matters is that Sylar & Co get RG back up again - and if I were them, I wouldn't tell people the whole story either
greg_r 81 Posted July 7, 2009 Post from Sylar on RWGJr: "Guys we have the backend up so Ill ask please not to be hitting or pinging the domain right now. We still have to do some work on the backend. " Guess they've moved servers. Anyhow, looks like they'll be back up before long.
prestigewatchco 2 Posted July 7, 2009 Thats good anyway. Although I think asking the people "Not to" was a bad idea given the nature of some members. They need to be the 1st see it every day when they order new watches to be the 1st to post pictures. Being 1st to report Repgeek back up will be just too much for them to miss so they will be constantly trying the site especially now that sensible people will listen. JohnG 41 Posted July 7, 2009 First time, loaded, opened a thread (repfish's thread repgeek is back) - page started flashing, then the browser (Chrome) crashed (all my windows/tabs just closed). I got back in, same thread, wouldn't load, mainpage okay. Now I just tried again, got a redirect to a Russian langauage page - it was all cyrillic text, no graphics. I closed right away, didn't want to find out what THAT was going to do... Weird...
