I settled for a birth year reduced version with a nice patina and all but it didn’t just cut it and sold it: But I had a call from the jeweller yesterday that they had one in store (at the right price to boot) and I couldn’t pass it up. Sent funds yesterday afternoon and it was on my wrist this morning. Some things about this particular watch: Dial: “Omega” logo has gotten less bold than the previous versions The “S” goes down to match the “P” in Speedmaster, as well as the “R” which is known as the “Long R” variation Tritium lume with the “T SWISS MADE T” writing at the bottom of the dial Bracelet: 1179 bracelet with 812 endlinks Case: Asymmetric case, 20 mm lugs With caseback stamped and engraved with “ FLIGHT QUALIFIED BY NASA FOR ALL MANNED SPACE MISSION, THE FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON” Movement: Cal 861. With 44xx xxxx – 45xx xxxx serial Bezel: Black BASE 500 bezel with dot next to 90 (DN90) and smaller “TACHYMETRE” writing Anyhoo, some pics: This won’t be off my wrist for a while I think.
