New week wrist check for 11 May 2020

Hey, Gang!  Hoping you are having a great COVID FREE week. Stay safe for ALL of us!

For today, this just-arrived-today ROLEX SKY DWELLER with working GMT wheel from the ever dependable STAN @ WBK!  What's really cool about this gem is that the outer fluted bezel turns (clock wise) just like the gen!! Unfortunately the month marker in red at the top of the minute/hour markers don't turn. If they did, I'd be shocked. Paid a lot for this (high price for ME), but it's of great quality and substance, with the SKY DWELLER tipping the scales at 150.7 grams. The white dial makes this a great summer watch, too! A tip of the hat to STAN, who is one of the most reliable TD's around, and I speak from 10 years' experiences.  dave;

I love that black dial on this SKY DWELLER.  Maybe I should have gotten this rather than the white dial. Good looker!!

Very nice mate, what Martin is that? Or is it a Sigma?

No, it's a MARTIN.  I know that logo!!!  I have two SIGMAS (6-string and 12-string), and their logo is in the same format. Of course, the SIGMAS are made under sub contract from MARTIN.

Is that the famous "Birth of Venus" statute in the back ground?

It is indeed Dave. I admire a man who knows his statutory representations of classical paintings.

Back to normal work hours. Preferred working in shifts by myself, no boss to bark orders at me:hitler:

Oh well Autavia made me smile today.

Was out for a walkabout saw a Monza Heuer Caliber 17.  Unfortunately their "huge sale discount" was not really that huge :D

How did you change the strap? What size of hex screw driver you used?

If I may interject... I have the same watch and used .05 in. hex bit for the strap bars.

Haha much the same here, I've been stalking a limited edition Seiko. I saw the big 50% off sign from across the shopping centre, it wasn't until I got closer I saw the "up too" part in small faint text. Damn it! I'll get you next time Prospex!

I have had a few new arrivals this week already, so will have a swap around today I think.
