Popperini 18,905 Posted August 30, 2020 I had another go at Snoopy’s head today... and so this little project oozes onwards by another drib, or drab, depending on your point of view. He’s a bit rough looking (and I might still try a Mk. 2 version some day), but when seen at “normal” distance, doesn’t look too bad.Anyway, my Snoopy’s head does resemble the shape and size of the real one a bit more accurately than the Chinese version.I’ll crack on and get his body done tomorrow, and then shelve the whole thing for another 6 months er I mean and then I’ll get it all reassembled.@TheGingerFerret Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Popperini 18,905 Posted January 7, 2022 (edited) Nah, it’s way too soon after my last post. Give it another 18 months or so. I have been very lax on the watch modding/wrecking front over the course of this last year or so. As you know, I still buy them, wear them, and spend endless hours reading and nattering about them on the forums, but my innate laziness kicks in and I find it all too easy to spend my time playing video games instead of doing anything practical. Plus, with other more pressing things on my plate, I think I lost a bit of enthusiasm and motivation. So I do appreciate the occasional nudge, as a reminder that there is stuff sitting in my drawers waiting to get finished! Heh, I’ve never seen Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. But I can’t help feeling that sequence would be more analogous to my process if it was played backwards. Edited January 7, 2022 by Popperini

jcagara08 34 Posted February 9, 2022 whoah I was late for this party, amazing project you guys! speaking of amazing, how did that almost 700 bucks 50th anniversary snoopy moonwatch rep able to make the moon rotate and the rocket revolve around in the caseback? was it connected to the chronograph function?
Popperini 18,905 Posted February 9, 2022 I didn't even know there was a rep of the 50th Anniversary version with a working rotating module. Cool! Although I wouldn't pay that money for it...
