I remember seeing this piece quite some time ago and can’t remember who had it. It’s been stuck in the back of my mind since.  I believe it was a modded 6542. Does anyone remember who had this? I’d love to build one.

Do a search for "6542" on the board.  There are actually quite a few of these floating around in wrist check and build/mod threads.  They are all pretty spectacular.

If you are looking to build, you can go high or low...Ruby dials plus a viet case set would be great but you can always start with a decent base from Kuvarsit (a different watch than Trusty has as the price shows). There's a whole thread on RWI about the differences of the two but the KW one seems to be more precise. If you want a higher end look to your insert, repmaster1234 may still make his from scratch but Tripdog custom paints and lumes his. I assume Trip would sell just the insert. You will find Reps creations on EBAY mostly as he's rarely in these parts any longer. Of course both Yodog and Tripdog are also great with their complete custom builds :throwingmoney:

The Yodog and Tripdog builds I’ve seen of this are masterpieces. As is Kilo’s. It’s the kind of thing that looks like it’d be at home in a fine art gallery.
