You are right. $36k is a hefty price, in the neighborhood of Yacht Master everose gold... Regarding Ressence, I think that the massive difficulty in terms of repping it would be related to its rather high complexity and in general unorthodox mechanics combined with rather low popularity. Such an initiative would have to imply absolutely outrageous R&D costs, even if we are talking about reverse engineering by rep factories. Similar story to the hydromechanical creations of HYT. https://www.hytwatches.com/ Edited May 17, 2021 by Aramis2288
Redfire1066 11,122 Posted May 17, 2021 @Aramis2288 Perhaps the future may see a little of the technology developed in these vastly expensive watches such as Ressence and HYT used in a timepieces that could be more affordable for people such as myself ... .. .. . ..
Pesman 9,461 Posted May 18, 2021 IT JUST CANNOT BE REPPED That is just mental! I love it! 55mm must cost a small fortune... Bet this one is repped soon.... My Bronze hunger remains! Although it may be 'red gold' Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

It's kind of odd that no factory came up with a NWBG speedy. I mean, this watch has s serious fanbase, it's not a niche product. The movement itself would probably be easier to clone than Daytona's calibre 4130.Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
Aramis2288 6,296 Posted May 26, 2021 Last weekend I've happened to try on the Bulgari Octo Finissimo. There is a huge difference between how this watch looks in pics and how it presents itself in real life. The way it sits on hand while being so unbelievably thin is just incredible. I know that there are some 'meh' Bulgari reps on the market, but I would like to see something as light and slim as the gen. (Yes @GenTLe, I know - "be realistic". )
BoobBandit 1,311 Posted May 26, 2021 Here’s a side shot of that BVGLARI . Yup totally realistic

But indeed, even if we don't need it at 3.95mm, anything above 7mm would look silly on that model, so ain't gonna see those Octo anytime soon in a good rep format (bad reps do exists)
