Raffles Tudor Watch Set

Recommended Posts

BravoDelta

My first "build"... a Raffles Tudor watch set with eBay sourced Asian 2824. No modding or anything, just a little experiment to see if I could put one together. Didn't have too much trouble, but of course there were moments. I included one action photo to show that I really did do something.  :D

Mate that looks great!

Pretty satisfying too, putting a watch together then actually watching it tick.

I bought a beat up 1979 Bulova Snorkel. Changed the movement, dial and hands myself with a $15 watch repair tool kit.
As you said, “there were moments”

Great wave Blue Pelagos!!  Will the dial fit?  :D .   Love to see it.   Maybe the Sumo or Marinemaster needs snowflake hands!!

@BravoDelta i know this is an older thread . how is the Raffles quality ? I'm guessing not as good as the reps from the TDs but the project sounds fun !

Quality of the parts is top notch. Fit and finish is as good as any TD rep factory watch I've seen. Of course you could screw it up putting it together, but so do rep factories sometimes :D

Here it is on a custom Nero strap...uvJgJ.jpg

Great information!!! Maybe after I get my hands on a few reps and do some dissections, might try my hand at building.  Looks like a lot of fun, great work.
