judas9r 913 Posted July 1, 2020 (edited) So I bought a Heimdallr thing with the intention of modding it to a Seiko 6105 dial. Yes it's a mod, not a build. But here it is. So first step was to polish off the Heimdallr logo off the caseback and ditch the nasty bracelet. Happily it didn't take long for the rep 6105 dial to roll up so I could get started. I had ordered a white dial to replace the green and was just going to live with the mis matched hand for a while. Stripping the watch was uneventful until I came to remove the hands. Wow! They were seriously attached. Removed the dial and instantly discovered the location pins were not in the same place? No matter, snapped em off and used dial dots. Now to reinstall the hands. Hour hand no problem, minute hand same. Second hand? Well I knew it was going to be tricky. Long story short... Buggered. Yep, that one too. End result? I now have a one handed 6105 rep I've now ordered some white hands from Raffles time to match the the white indesies on the dial. I'll try and be a bit more careful with the next set, hopefully the second hand stem won't be quite as snug. . . . Just a quick note to resolve this thread.
