It's a lot smaller than I would've thought, at 41mm. I expected it to be 44/46mm. Still nice though :)

With the large chrono pushers I’m guessing it wears slightly larger.
For me personally, 41mm is right in my sweet spot, and I’m glad it’s not bigger as 44mm is getting too big for my wrists.

It is a re-make of a vintage piece from the 1930’s, so making it any bigger would not have done the original much justice.
Speaking of the original, I’ll rustle up a pic. It has a great back story that’s well worth reading about.

They stayed as true as possible to the original

My top end thus far has been $1500-$2000.

From what I’ve seen of your collection, your top end is much higher than that.
If you are fearful of having to offload any more, send them my way instead and I’ll look after them for you.
You have my address

I can’t even remember who I sold it to! Probably some random on WUS! To be fair there’s at least a dozen more I mildly regret (including a gen 114060 last year - idiot!)

An eco drive from the KaDeWe back in the 90s.

Like this in function but stainless and a more standard dark dial and bezel with dive style broadsword hands. Cant even find a picture of the damn thing. 2 alarms, gmt, chrono and countdown timer. Oh, and eco drive, which this is not.
