submarinerblue 8 Posted July 6, 2020 Can you believe it, I’m now getting ads for fake Rolexes on my Facebook feed. How can they do that?
BadApple 13,081 Posted July 6, 2020 Facefuck is intrusive. It reads into your browser history and sends you targeted ads. I have had an ad for the Anal Intruder Mk 2 with USB charging point come up for the best part of a month.
Glaude 1,615 Posted July 6, 2020 Facebook don't choose what ads are running, they have a network running ads for them, as long as they haven't excluded the platform advertising or the type of content (for example pornography) you'll see ads on your feed that are relative to your "ad profile" aka if you visit watch related websites, you get watch related ads. An example would be : the Ginger will see ads by wish advertising strap on and other dildos, but he'll never see a ad for grinder or for pegthatgingerhard.com that's because the last two are pornography while wish is an online marketing platform that happen to sell sex related items that Facebook choose to not exclude, yet.
submarinerblue 8 Posted July 6, 2020 But, why hasn’t Rolex gone after Facebook?

Multiple reasons : - Facebook is not responsible for those ads, as said before, if anything Rolex could go after the announcer publishing those ads, but as we all know, Rolex and pretty much all other luxury watch brand, don't really care about replicas - Rolex officials that could be responsible for pursuing the culprits are unlikely to be fully aware of those temporary ads
