There does seem to be a certain feel of hostility in some of the threads I looked at.I hope this will just blow over and things will resume as normal. I don't have much forum experience, but I hope that any nastiness or unpleasantness ceases. It harms everyone and serves no one. Things WILL blow over, these things have always come in cycles. As to whether the unpleasantness serves no one - no, not strictly speaking, but it is the inevitable by-product of a truly free board. On any other forum you will not see this stuff - not because it isn't there, but because any hint of dissent, anger, resentment, animosity, pointlessless, etc., is immediately snuffed out and deleted. If you embrace freedom you have to accept that it has some unpleasant consequences, otherwise it is no freedom at all. The strife lately will blow over, but the mere fact that it exists, in my mind, is a good thing. The day there is no conflict on this board is the day it's soul has died.
