Thommo82 1,397 Posted September 25, 2020 @RussP I may need the number of your watch smith. After months in the shop he didn’t fix anything and now I have new issues to contend with. Glad my Certina is ba k on the wrist though, had almost forgotten how nice this watch is.

My 'regular' watch smith retired a couple of years ago and moved to Lismore, NSW. Depending upon what the problem might be, I can highly recommend CBD watch repairs in Brisbane City. Here's the link: https://www.cbdwatchrepairs.com.au/ You can call me (you know my mobile number) if you'd like to discuss the issue. Regards Russ.

Long story short, I dropped my Certina, buggered the movement. He ordered me a new movement, fitted it, was not the correct caliber so chrono functions operate differently, and it’s also slightly faulty. He also managed to scratch the case back. Won’t be using him again.

The nh35a movement is super reliable, and I paid less than $100 US for each, so perfect for a daily wearer.

Movement itself costs more than double the whole Invicta watch, and that’s at cost price. But yes it is a damn shame that a certified master watch smith couldn’t get it right. The two tone blue sub homage, the new shark sub homage they released recently, and the grey dial with black ceramic bezel Daytona homage. Great watches for the money.
