Thommo82 1,397 Posted September 9, 2020 NEW WATCH DAY! Ahhh..... Not everything that turns up in the mail makes you want to bang your head on the wall till you are unconscious. This was my birthday present from my missus, and though it took its time to get here from Canada it was more than worth the wait. This is the third offering from Makara with the Octopus and the Sea Turtle before it. In my eye, the Sea Serpent (which is really just a more refined Sea Turtle) really hits the nail on the head. All the good reviews I read and beautiful pictures I saw online are more than true. This is a fantastic watch. Fucking fantastic. I was lacking a bronze watch in my collection and after looking through countless watches I decided the Makara Sea Serpent was the one for me. Tough and rugged in appearance without being too big and gaudy as some bronze divers tend to be. Came in a very handy zip up travel case and has the most badass buckle in the shape of knuckle dusters. I like that it’s not trying to be anything apart from itself. It has its own thing going on and it’s doing it very well. If I had to pick at anything, I would have liked a 2824 under the hood and would have happily paid a little more for it.
