What in God's name did you do to the dial of that watch?

It wasn't me. It was... "nature"... (otherwise known as Rolex's dodgy lacquering)

Well, it looks like it was sprayed with lacquer and then hit with a hair dryer to make the top dry faster and thus craze.  But that's just conjecture.

Pic from 2200m in Alps mountains :) Excellent watch for trekking, not too heavy (thanks to Titanium), perfectly extensible bracelet (good when you start to have bigger wrist due to the fatigue), and overall very good looking piece :)

Plus under certain light (which I couldn't catch with camera), the Ti become like "gunfire" grey which is amazing.

Too many lines of text.  Would have been lighter with the 2 liner.

Well, I'm sure you could get the effect using the technique you suggest Rich... But mine's a gen dial, one of the few batches which had a flaw in the composition of the original lacquer, causing it to crack over the passage of time.

Sorry - I now suspect I was having my leg pulled, and of course it went whooosh straight over my head... heh :)
