As for the Seamaster 300m, this is the watch that got me started in the rep game back in the day, and just like you it was the rep of the 2220.80 I was seeking. Unfortunately a truly great rep of these never existed, the ones that were around had flaws like wrongly shaped crown guards or happy feet Omega logo on the dial. You’d be hard pressed to find any of these at the dealers anymore, if you want a great rep of this building a franken would be the way to go...

I also doubt you'll get any from the TDs. I think your best bet is to make a Want To Buy thread on the WTB Section and hope someone is letting one go.

Good advice. Or settle for one of the newer models (2012 SMP ceramic for instance) which are still available at TD's. This would also be the starting poing of a franken if you're willing to go down that road, as they used the same case for the SMP's all the way from the 90's up until the 2018 model

Means that the tips on both ends of the Omega logo point upwards. Happy feet is correct for dials where the logo is printed, but NEVER for applied logos. Look at pics of the 2541 and you'll see the logo is printed, and the tips point upwards. Whereas on the 2222.80 and onwards, the logo is applied, and the tips are straight. Repmakers notoriously got this wrong in the past.

This is a pic of a replica dial where the Omega writing and logo is made in metal and applied/glued to the dial. This is correct for the watch model, but the makers made the logo wrong as both "feet" of the Omega logo point upwards. They should always be straight when the logo is metal. Compare it to the pictures you posted in the original post, you'll see the difference.

As for the franken building I can't really help you much there, I know there are modders around the forum willing to undertake such tasks but I can't recall any of their names as I've never been into the franken business myself. I recommend searching around a bit for franken build threads, I know there are a few, albeit old ones, of the SMP300 aswell. Look in some of the older threads in the Omega part of the forum. See if you can find any help in those :)

No worries.

Fyi, underneath the 'Reply' box at the bottom of a thread is a 'Follow' button - just click on that rather than posting (an entirely pointless) 'Following' comment in the thread :thumbsup2:
