Anyone heard of Starking Automatic $68?

Recommended Posts

Waspy

Starking sent one to Mark Lovick for review and he was impressed with the watch but not so much the movement.

He serviced the movement and then went one better and fitted a Miyota movement.

Starking must have listened to him because they now fit Miyota movements.

Miyota movement

Thats what got my attention. Plus solid 316L steel case and bracelet links for this price.

Also, the Amazon link you posted is the old model with the date at 3.

The newer model with a Miyota movement has the date at 4.

And they're $68.

Corrected. :D

These came up on AliExpress or the Gate some time ago at a stupid knockdown price - $25 or something. There was a mini-flurry of activity while people snapped them up as a cheap source for a 2813 movement in a free watch.

I may buy one with Amazingzon Prime. If I'm underwhelmed I'll just return it.

Have seen a few reviews of these.
In a nutshell, if you are looking for a nice looking piece that costs next to nothing, then this is the one to buy.
