Aragon Watch Hiro

https://picr.me/i/2020/10/09/VmHaYI.pngAbout the watch and the adventure:

https://picr.me/i/2020/10/09/VmHmB3.jpg

I was very lucky in the fact the I was gifted, this watch By @Piloten Unfortunately when he received it he wasn't feeling it. Now usually receiving a watch it would be the only fun part. Not in this case!
We roughly live about 4000miles away. So we knew that shipping wasn't going to be a next day skip and a jump. Little did we know that the watch decided to go on an adventure of it's own. With about 10hours between us, it's also safe to say that the tracking was taking a 24hour battering. Days were spent trying to figure out where and what the watch was doing and at one point visited a place called GB LALA.

https://picr.me/i/2020/10/09/VmHaYI.pngThe case :

The case shape isn't your standard looking case. It has a lovely integrated one peice body and bezel. The nice Chunky lugs have a feel of the older vintage welded lugs with the bonus of having very good finishing. The crown is nice and chunky, again with what feels like a nod to those cool vintage big crowns.

Now here is where we can discuss @pilotens disappointment, personally I would have called it a trade off. The Lume. I can understand that from seeing the marketing and getting the watch that, the impact of the lume is not as KaPoW as you may like it.
I would trade this off against the fact that the 3d lettering is very cool, another real nice touch is the slight curvature of the crystal (almost like a 127/372 panerai) that along with the chapter ring gives the whole dial a very cool 3d depth affect on the wrist. So much so I find myself looking at my wrist tilting it back and fourth alot.

Unfortunately being southpaw means no one gets to enjoy that really cool lumed crown.

https://picr.me/i/2020/10/09/VmHaYI.png My overall impression & Some beauty shots :

I have to admit, this watch has become my daily now, it's super comfortable on the wrist and nice and visible to read the time easily, I always find my self gravitating to tool watches and it ticks all the boxes. I've never really been into the micro brand scene, a rabbit hole that @piloten has kicked me down haha. How the design packs in so many nice touches into the watch, without losing a simplest and easy to read time design is brilliant.

Thanks for reading !

Great review, thanks for taking the time to do it!

Cool gesture by Piloten too :)

I love the 3D indices, adds a bit of interest to a dial.

Superb review and I am happy you like it,  @deju .   :thumbsup2:

Wing is a terrific designer and I find myself browsing his site constantly and his front end support is very polite and knowlegeable. We dont click with every watch we buy but at his price points, it doesn't sting like it might with some gens.

Wear it in good health, fratello.

But the lume still sucks. ;)

Very nice review mate !

Unrelated to the content itself but you should use clickpix instead of Picr for your image, at one point Picr will disappear and the less content uploaded on it, the less content will go missing when it happen

I will need to get some decent wristshots.

I’m happy to report that it’s now my daily, perfectly rugged tool watch, doesn’t miss a beat.

very comfortable, before this I was wearing a BR02 rep as my daily
