The reason I ask though is because you seem to have a slight sandpaper effect on the dial in a certain light. Yes, but you have to look very, very closely to see it though. It's definitely not a polished, shiny dial. With the hands and dial markers, that would be too much flash. It's a pretty nice balance. The reason I ask is I've got the rep and the dial has that effect - perhaps to a greater extent though - and I didn't know if it was a flaw or intentional. Today's ride on this august day is this Panerai "111-style" mechanical watch on a beauteous "dark chocolate" leather strap. As always, PAMS are a great wear because this old coot's eyes can actually SEE the dial and tell time!
