VSF V3 Omega Seamaster 300m No Time To Die 007

Afternoon All,

Hope nobody minds me repeating some pics I've posted in TD feedback, but I thought it might help a few people thinking of getting one of these watches.

I've always liked the Omega brand and the Seamaster in particular. Added to the fact I like military and vintage looking watches, this one caught my eye - nothing to do with the 007/Bond nonsense!

Pros
The watch is very light, especially with a NATO strap. It's supposed to be made from titanium and as I own a titanium Seiko , I don't doubt the claim. The mesh strap isn't that accurate and isn't titanium, but that doesn't bother me.
The face and hands seem very accurate in comparison to the original and the face has a matte finish.
The case back is very well finished and has the same markings as the original - I haven't opened it up yet, so I can't comment on the movement.
The detailing is excellent with the Omega logo and He mark on the crowns both present. The bezel looks spot on and moves well. There is a slight bit of play, but as I've never owned an original, I can't comment on whether this is normal or not. Comments I've seen on gen Omega watches seem to suggest there is a little play.
The 'extras' i.e. the mesh strap, NATO strap and case are a nice bonus.
In the short period of time I've owned it, it's kept great time.

Cons
As has been commented on elsewhere, the lume isn't very bright.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with it and the only thing I've done is pop it on an old green NATO strap I had, which I think really suits the colours.

Now I own one of these, I would comment on the following

Positives

- mesh on v4 is stunning. Flexible and very comfortable. Not sure what Titanium would add as the weight for me is just right. The brushed finish means a close match to case.

- Bezel is solid

- size works nicely and it doesn’t wear small

Cons

- not much AR. Glass is very shiny and it almost feels like there is a gentle mist across it. Makes the hands difficult to read in low light. Maybe just mine but would be interested if others feel this. Trusty photos also show a lot of reflections. Suspect gen doesn’t

- clasp whilst bracelet is clever, the complex clasp mechanism has a habit of springing open when taking the watch on and off

All in all I love it but suspect I will be looking to fund a gen when the prices get sensible...

And who in the UK does AR treatments as it would reveal the true wow factor of this model!

I know others talk of Prof Crystals but I think he is in the US. I think this watch is good enough to justify it.

Looking at this non-professional shot of one on ebay ... it really lifts it...

Plenty of people online complaining about reflections on the gen. I think Omega did it on purpose to be more vintage like. Probably a bad decision. I’m very interested in photos of yours when you get the AR treatment done.

I’m not having any problem with my clasp. But have read several others are. Probably luck of the draw on that one.

It’s a great watch, loving mine.

what bothers me is the loud noise of the rotor. Is there a fix?
