I really have come to love the PARNIS brand: they make decent homage watches, imho. Nice dial details, good finishing on the case and bracelet, solid weight, and adjustable GMT hand. Anyway, I'm going to try browning off an insert in the oven (IIRC that was what you did to it?), and if that works out then I'll end up with a very similar DIY Tudorsub.
