solkryssare 109 Posted November 11, 2020 Hi, I'm quite excited about this one! Ordered it a couple of days ago, but it wont show up until mid January. After days of back and forth, I decided to go for the black dial. But I'm still not 100% sure its the right decision But it is what it is. Link to a review and backstory here: https://monochrome-watches.com/introducing-2020-aquastar-deepstar-re-edition-price/ More to come when I get the watch.....

Howitzer 1,974 Posted November 11, 2020 Great choice! Especially the black dial. I saw the M-W write-up on this last month and really, really liked the look of it, particularly the asymmetry of the dial. Looking forward to (eventually) seeing pics.... solkryssare 109 Posted November 11, 2020 Thanks, guys. It is a special looking thing. Which is why I like it I've wanted the original for a while now, but its unobtainable for me atm.
Del 4,473 Posted November 11, 2020 Absolutely love this mate! Read the article too - it’s a good read. I think all three dial colours look great. I may have gone for the grey version as it’s slightly closer to the original but also I don’t have a grey watch in my collection! It’ll not be long until January...!

That was my reasoning as well. Most orders have gone to the grey dial one. But I just couldn’t risk it. I know I’ll be happy with a black dial, and the fact that there was a risk of not liking the grey one - I had to go black. It’s the safe choice.

BadPickle 2,755 Posted November 12, 2020 Looks great, I like the small secs at 9, a nice little quirky detail... often these vintage reissues are just a money making scheme and no way reflect the actual original, but not with this one, great find I’m still drooling over the Alsta too

FunnyStarSystem 7,538 Posted November 13, 2020 I was sold by the patented decompression scale bezel, even though I can't imagine what I'd ever use it for. But wearing something clever you can fiddle with is its own reward. The history seems similar to Squale, but they certainly have gone different directions recently. This will be a nice distinction for your collection.
