als86 5,278 Posted November 28, 2020 Not sure if anyone else spotted this but this is some bidding for a pelagos rep!! up to £820 this morning... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gentlemens-Tudor-Pelagos-Automatic-Blue-dial-watch-in-perfect-condition/264946988343?hash=item3db0123537:g:GwoAAOSwNmVfuT7b Even states "This is not an original Tudor" Item number 264946988343 in case link doesn't work
TDFBluWaffle 15 Posted November 28, 2020 I just always assume people who buy this get away with some kind of PayPal Buyer Protection and get the full amount refunded (even in cases where it clearly states it is not genuine - but since those are either way prohibited to be sold there it probably works). Just my theory
Howitzer 1,974 Posted November 28, 2020 I’d report it but part of me feels that whoever buys it deserves to get scammed for not reading the description properly if at all. I wonder what eBay’s response would be to a refund claim given the admission it’s not real? I guess a counterfeit is a counterfeit regardless of whether you declare it as such.

als86 5,278 Posted November 28, 2020 It's also clearly someone who has no idea of what a rep of this type would fetch on the rep market so-to-speak, but more fool them.

I believe as long as you avoid things like ps5 / apple products it’s easier to do EB DNA refunding. Seen it on a discord server, kids seem to be going wild. refund services Popular stores (minimum 200) Costco 5k 4 items Target 2k Ebay 15k Apple 10k 5 items Wayfair 15k Home Depot 5k 2 items Walmart 5k Staples 5k Amazon 5k 8 items Nordstrom 2k Bloomingdales 2k Neiman 5k Instacart 1k Victoria secret 1k Bestbuy 500 Dicks sporting good 1k Macy 2k Nike/SNKRS 1k Adidas 5k percentages of the haul are paid to the scammers for successful scams. I have just reported it to see what happens! I am obviously OK with Reps being sold on the rep Market, but I'm afraid I turn into a sanctimonious bastard when I see Rep watches being sold by "Genuine" watch dealers on the open market. Makes no difference if it comes with a disclaimer it's illegal and without the knowledge/protection of RWG/RWI immoral
Popperini 17,847 Posted November 28, 2020 Has anyone had success reporting this sort of thing? I recently reported a joker selling a pair of JKF Subs using the “don’t know if they’re real got them off my dead grandad” style description - which had got up to several grand bid. As far as I can tell there was no action taken. It seems that if you’re happy to lie and say you don’t know if they’re real, you’ve got a good chance of making a small fortune from ignorant idiots.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
