New watches day! :christmas4:

So first up is a watch I’ve wanted for quite a while but being a limited edition that sold out quite quickly they aren’t often available when I’m feeling like spending coin. However thanks to the help of a true gentleman here on RWI I managed to nab this from a great member of WUS.

A gen with a great movement with vertical column wheel and clutch, and looks that are a throwback to the original Laurel wristwatch that started it all for Seiko and I’ve always loved. The dial is amazing with the wet paint look that only enamel can do. It’s very difficult to photograph with a phone and looks so much better in real life.

Anyway on with the pics:

But then...

It got totally outclassed when another parcel arrived. My brand spanking new watch I’ve lusted after for years and is a memory for me to keep forever of my dead wife, the two of us having looked at it in Japan during a wonderful holiday in the snow last February. Having just bought my moonwatch I held back on purchasing it at the time. However given what unfolded since and this holiday in the beautiful snowy landscape of Japan needing to remain crisp in my memory forever now, I decided this needs to be my memento and memory aid. Something I can reflect on often and remember my wife, remember the best time of our lives.

Again, onto the photos:

Thanks for reading folks.
