mondeov6 0 Posted June 14, 2011 Got something very nice in the mail today that I would like to share. Baldrick posted some pictures a couple of weeks ago. I did fall for the Corum Admirals Cup Deep Hull 48mm that was among the pictures. I have been thinking of a Corum AC for a while and I really fell for the look of this one. I did search for this particular model among all our trusted dealers. I did not find it though and I guess no rep is available yet. I was very pleased to see the homage at TAO international. It is not 100% looking like the Corum but close enough for me. The Corum has day/date, the homage only date etc. Anyway I love it and I think it will get quite a lot of wrist time! :P Here is some info from TAO's site about the watch..... 316L Stainless steel case with one-way ratcheting bezel (160 clicks) Black rubber band and black tone dial(luminous marks and hands) High quality scratch resistant Polygon Convex glass, s/s hands 31 jewels automatic movement, power reserve 42hr Small Second at 9, Date window at 3 Screw down crown Size, 48mm strap size, 24mm Price was: 94$ The watch look great, is very well biult with no flaws. Pictures..... Thanks for looking!

mondeov6 0 Posted June 14, 2011 nice!!! how's the lume? does the bezel rotate? Thank's hd! Lume is descent, not exactly "superlume" but ok. (My camera is not very good at lume shots) Bezel is unidirectional 160 clicks and has a very nice feeling to it. Lume shot....
dumluk 0 Posted June 14, 2011 That is cool, Mondeo. How is the movement?
mondeov6 0 Posted June 14, 2011 That is cool, Mondeo. How is the movement? It says on TAO's homepage this is a...."31 jewels automatic movement, power reserve 42hr". To my "noobish" eye it looks like just a 23j Seagull movement. Beats me what the additional jewels are there for. The 23j Seagull is from what I understand quite cheap, but a pretty solid and reliable movement.
Del 4,463 Posted June 14, 2011 That looks superb! Enjoy it often
Baldrick 1 Posted June 14, 2011 Working on the principle that this case has now been produced, the factory have produced it for a Corum AC Deep Hull replica, not simply for an homage, the rep can't be far behind the homage, it's well established that homage pieces in general follow the brand names ! I will for sure keep an eye open for the rep! I really like this one but a rep would be even better. BTW.... thank's Balders for posting the pictures in the "Getting fed up with the same ole same ole....., " post. That is where I found the Corum and many other very nice watches!
