Jonnybaws 5,280 Posted January 18, 2021 Any tips to keep these bleeding things in place, recently picked up a 288 and its a cracking watch but one wire lug works itself loose.. So how does one keep it in place without having to glue it in!
Jibuti 958 Posted January 18, 2021 Blue Loctite.... Or nails polish (strong one, not mine but wife's, I have mild body exterior). You are welcome.
Simonix 8,660 Posted January 18, 2021 Are you sure that the screw is all the way into the slot on the lug wire? Sometimes you have to push/pull the lug in/out, to get the screw into it properly. The gen screws have tiny o rings on them, which helps. If that's not the problem, then as Jibby says, Loctite it....

Yes, I wiggled the wire lug until it felt has if its "clicked" into the groove.. The Loctite may be an option, once I decide on the right strap, I'm unlikely to change then, given the pain in the arse nature of changing the straps on these wire lugged Pam's!
